The Michelin CrossClimate+ is a Premium Touring All Season tyre with directional tread, designed for passenger cars.

The tyre replaced the Michelin Crossclimate in 2017.

The tire has been replaced by the Michelin CrossClimate 2.

2018 Quattroruote Michelin Crossclimate Plus test

In 2018 experts of the Italian publication Quattroruote have tested the Michelin CrossClimate+ at size 205/55 R16 and compared it with six similar All Season tyres. In addition, experts included into the test reference winter and summer tyres for comparison of results.

1st place and the best result in Wet braking. The braking distance was: a) 1.5m shorter, than next a/s tire; b) 5.2m longer, than summer tire; c) 7.2m longer, than winter.

3rd place in Wet handling. Michelin was: a) 2sec slower, than the best a/s tire; b) 3.5sec slower, than winter; c) 2.1sec slower, than summer.

1st place in Dry braking. The braking distance was: a) 1m shorter, than next a/s tire; b) 3.6m longer, than summer; c) 3.6m shorter, than winter.

Last place in Snow braking. The braking distance was: a) 1.4m longer, than the best a/s tire; b) 2.1m longer, thanwinter; c) 18.1m shorter, than summer.

6th place in Snow handling. Michelin was: a) 1.2 sec slower, than the best a/s tire; b) 1.5 sec slower, than winter; c) 14.5 sec faster, than summer.

3-4th place in Snow traction. Michelin was: a) 0.3 sec slower, than the best a/s tire; b) 0.4 sec slower, than winter; c) 21.2 sec faster, than summer.

5th place in Noise level test.

Overall Michelin CrossClimate Plus review

According to the test results Michelin took 4th place.

Main conclusions:

• A bit unbalanced on the wet: Michelin had the shortest braking distance, but average handling time.
• The best dry braking distance.
• Poor snow performance: the longest braking distance, low handling and average traction (but overall it showed very close results to the leaders).
• Relatively high noise level.
